Photo Pause: Hay Lake Lodge and Ontario's Algonquin Provincial Park

Note: Photography is a path to mindfulness for me, a meditative and grounding practice that prompts me to slow down and notice the world around me. May these images offer you a space to pause, a respite in your perhaps busy day, and a reminder to take a moment now & then and notice what's going on in the world around you.

Last month D. and I got away for some some r&r, hiking and an unexpected art-related quest. We stayed at Hay Lake Lodge and Cottages, a mere 15 minutes from Ontario's Algonquin Provincial Park. It was bliss.

I offer you a few favourite snapshots of some of the wonders I encountered during our time "up north."

Hello October, Thank You September

Dearest September,

For...

time at home, rest and the magic of puttering;

painting, writing and a studio in which I can play;

learning, reflecting and stretching out of my comfort zone;

fresh food, camera play and the celebration of D.'s birthday with friends;

music, jigsaw puzzles and baseball games on TV;

quiet time in the woods, quiet time by the lake, quiet time with D., anywhere;

I thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

Gratefully yours,

Stephanie
